My Lost Love

I held what before my eyes stood
At eyes of beauty I locked
she was beautiful and fair
There was fragrance in the air
cupid's arrows pierced my heart
I asked who though art?

She stood in silence leveling none
for long the silence stood and spoke none
Then she said to me
You need not my aid
for men I have seen
A part of them I have been

All were in fluttery dreadful
in love they were unfaithful
And but for this i accept you as lover not
I begged for a change
For in love you will be faithful not
she gave not glance
my heart shattered
my eyes watered

Then I a solemn oath love
At failics never to look
for my love was not cherished
And my love perished for ever.
